This year our students have experienced a different PYP virtual science fair. Due to Covid-19, they explore their journey of PYP virtual science fair from home. Though It was a challenging journey for us but our students took the challenge as an opportunity.
This is an opportunity for students to apply the scientific method to conduct independent research. Preparation for this virtual science fair started in the middle of November with the selection of a topic which led to a problem that the student wanted to research. The student explored various sources of information in order to gain a thorough understanding of the topic that he or she has chosen. Besides traditional sources such as library books, the student also researched current periodicals, journals, Internet sources and interview professionals who are working within the same field of study.
The virtual science fair created an amazing outlet for student creativity, which flourished through elaborate displays, inventive project ideas, unique experimental designs, and thoughtful future study ideas.
We also see the students, teachers, parents and other members of the school community united by a collaborative experience that incorporates the essential elements of the PYP.
We would like to thank all the teachers, students and parents for their constant support and cooperation to successfully continue the PYP journey. Stay safe and stay healthy.
We will be happy if you can join us online and share your experience and feedback with our students.
